Welcome to Félag Horizon's Youth Platform!

In Félag Horizon's Youth Platform, we put a big emphasize on improving educational skills among young people, teach the youth the essence of living together and being good idols for the youth through or volunteer work.

As
written in Félag Horizon's regulation; Paragraph 3 Article 1:

"(...) To act as a guide for the target audience in terms of the options available in the Icelandic education system and labor market as well as to help them in their education and to increase the individual's future opportunities."

Félag Horizon work hard to improve educational skills among young people since we believe that education is an crucial path towards knowledge and productivity. As it most basic level, education is important since it gives people the baseline skill to improve their productive in the society they live in.

By improving knowledge and awareness through education, individuals in the society gets to know each other better which is an important path towards a society with peace, unity and love no matter who your etnicity, cultural- and religious background.

Education is essential among young people in the Icelandic society for nearly every job or career, and in many cases, education makes the difference between being able to perform a safely and accurately and being unable to perform a job at all.

Education is important because it helps the young people to answer life's big questions, including questions of how to live, work and love. Still others believe that education is since it teaches people about the world around them.
